1. Is this for real?

Yes. This website is exactly what it appears to be - an opportunity to send money to a complete stranger for no reason at all. It's a personal experiment with the Internet by a single individual.

2. What about privacy, spam etc?

I hate spam and I will never send you any. If you donate $1 you will receive a single email which tells you how much has been donated in total and then you will never hear from me again. The website does not record your email address or any other details about you, it does not even use cookies.

3. What are you going to do with the money?

I don't know, it depends on how much is donated. But I have stated that the purpose of any donation is to make me happy and I will try and use it for that purpose. Whether that means spending it on myself and my family or giving it to charity I will have to consider when the time comes. But I certainly won't spend it on drugs, gold-plated bathroom fittings, paying the phone bill or anything like that.

4. Are you going to tell us what you did with the money?

Yes. When the experiment has run its course, I will explain on this website what I did with the money and whether it made me happy.

5. Are you going to reveal yourself at any point?

Yes. When the experiment has run its course, I will put my personal details on this website.

6. Are you rich?

No. At least not relative to the average in the developed world. Obviously I am rich when compared to an average person in Sudan but then, so are you. In the West I am merely average.

7. Do you give to charity?

Yes.

8. Do you give to beggars?

Where I live the beggars are mostly junkies, so no I don't. Sometimes I give to beggars in foreign countries, it depends on how I feel at the time.
